Pura Vida.......Pure Life!!
A tropical paradise in Central America. A reminder of the Indian monsoon, smell of mud, mango trees and lush tropical greens.
I did not have any trouble finding vegetarian food and did not get bored of eating out for 11 days. Signs on the roadside that say "Soda" or "Typical Food" means typical local Costa Rican food. Do not miss eating at these Sodas (think Dhaba if you are Indian). If you ordered a vegetarian Casada, it would consist of Rice and Beans, a combination of carrots, cabbage, greens, tomatoes, plantain, cheese, egg, aguacate, all on a plate, give or take. Aguacate means Avacado, btw. If you like tender coconut water, well, you are lucky that you can have lots of it. Be aware that coffee everywhere can be very strong.
